talk about homosexuality all you want to--if you feel the need.
as i said--i dont like the use of the word "gay" thats all. i'm quite happy to use the word "homosexual"
and dont invite me to stay away from this forum.
of course the religion condemns homosexuality but did you know any gay witnesses?
i knew some bethelites that were very effeminate and i remember 4 women who were suspected of being lesbians by many in the congregation.
they eventually moved away and were very vocal against males, especially elders..

I’m curious why you’d say that.
It may be different in other places, but where I live (Southern California) gay is the preferred term for self-identification by all the homosexual people I know.
What’s “in yer face” about it? Please explain.
i dont see the need for a label. why the need to label someone as gay--homo--whatever. i dont need to call myself straight--or hetero.. i know a few guys who are de facto homosexual--only because they live with another man in a relationship. why the need to identify ?
as regards "in yer face" i was referring to some homosexuals who feel the need to try to create some sort of reaction. as far as i'm concerned--a person being homosexual means nothing --like if they are left handed--or vegetarian. its their life--not mine.

personally--i really dont like the use of the word "gay". is it a sort of in yer face label ?

i think the overwhelming problem with trying to wake up friends and family is they have nowhere else to go.
i mean these people all their friends are jws a lot of them their family is jws.
if they wake up or agree with you in anyway they know instantly that they loose all this, many will even loose jobs.
back when i was in--i genuinely believe most of the married male dubs ( except the servants ) were in it just to keep the peace at home. i dont think i knew of any male dubs whose wife was " opposed"
..............if their child pursues higher education and lives on campus.

i can imagine lots of elders doing all or any of those in order to get off the hook
if you see someone about to be struck by a car or otherwise step into harms way but choose not to call out a warning or act in some way to prevent disaster, are you responsible for any harm caused?.
what defence, if any, can be offered for choosing inaction?

straying off topic slightly...
my wife tells me that in her home country, if a driver hits a pedestrian--then they are liable for the poor victims medical bills--which obviously can be significant.
so--sometimes the driver takes an alternative action---reversing back over the victim--to finish them off--and avoid those medical bills.
